Specialized Care: We specialize in medication management with brief psychotherapy integrated into appointments. Our patients include adults facing various mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, caregiver fatigue/burnout, adjustment disorder, PTSD, panic disorder, chronic stress, insomnia, and agoraphobia. We also recognize that caregivers often struggle with prioritizing their own needs, we are trying to change that and ensure that their mental health needs are also being met.
Meet Emily Rees, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Hello! I fell in love with psychiatry while working as an FNP practicing internal medicine in inpatient psychiatric facilities. I then returned to graduate school to obtain my PMHNP and transitioned into outpatient psychiatry. In the beginning of my nursing career, I worked in pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit and post-anesthesia care unit.
In addition to general psychiatric medication management, I have found a passion for working with parents of children living with special needs. Caregiving is HARD work; I have first-hand experience that helps me to relate to fellow special needs parents. I strive to foster a safe and welcoming environment where individuals feel comfortable. In your personal life you may put other’s needs above your own but when you are meeting with me YOU are number one.
